For some, the mention of the name conjures up images of flying saucers and crashed UFO's. There have been movies and TV series loosely based on the supposed incident.
But where did it all start?
New Mexico, June 1947.
After several nights of horrendous storms, rancher Mac Brazel, ventured out to check on the livestock, fences and for any damage he could find. Imagine his surprise when he came across a field of debris, some 3 or 4 football fields long and 2 or 3 wide. Tiny pieces of silver foil and what he termed “I” beams, some wiring as thin and as fine as the hair of a horse’s mane. It had gouged a great divot into the ground and when Brazel picked up this “foil” he noted at once the lightness of the material. “Like parchment paper,” newspapers quoted him.
Mac rolled up the foil but to his utter amazement the material returned to its original shape the moment he opened his hand.
This was no ordinary silver foil!
He next gather up a small load of the material, he was on horseback so the story goes and couldn’t take much. He took the material to nearby friends, xx and xxx Proctor and showed them the extraordinary material.
Just like, Brazel, it shocked the Proctors.
The Proctors encouraged Mac Brazel to take the material into the sheriff’s office at Roswell.
And so the mystery, known as the Roswell Incident, began. To this day it defies a complete and satisfying explanation.
What if the incident were an invasion? Maybe the aliens on board traveled to earth to warn us of an invasive life form that diffuses itself among other life-forms and controls them!
This is the overall premise of a new novel “The Roswell Legacy: The True Story of a Secret Invasion” this will be available in the new year (2019) and this blog is to introduce elements of the story and background of (actual) UFO incidents around the world, which I intend to draw from for inspiration.
The Roswell crash being the major influence.
The keystone of the story is that an “alien force” is responsible for all major catastrophes in the world since 1947.
I can’t go into too much detail - that would give it away.
I’m excited with this project. I’ve had a fascination with the Roswell incident since first reading about it. I have seen and met physicist Stanton T. Friedman, the researcher instrumental in bringing the story into the light again after the US government and various agencies had buried it for almost 30 years.
Not that I’m suggesting for one moment a flying saucer (or two as believed by many) crashed near Roswell, but I’m not saying it didn’t happen, either.
Whatever happened in New Mexico in 1947, one thing is for certain - it will makes a backdrop to a “alien invasion/conspiracy thriller” - I think so, anyway.
